A liver with a metastatic lesion linked by light streams to highlighted tiles on a digital pathology slide

We are delighted to share that the oral presentation SS-094, co-authored by our group member Mehmet Altay Ünal, received the Best Oral Presentation – First Prize at the 35th National Pathology Congress (35. Ulusal Patoloji Kongresi), held on 28–31 October 2026 at the İstanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Center.

The study

Yapay Zekâ Destekli Çok Modelli Foundation Model Ensemble Yaklaşımı ile Karaciğer Metastazlarında Primer Tümör Orijininin Belirlenmesi

In English: Determining the primary tumour origin of liver metastases with an AI-assisted, multi-model foundation-model ensemble approach.

Finding where a liver metastasis started is a key question in diagnostic pathology. The work brings several pathology foundation models together as an ensemble to support this decision from tissue slides.
